The big event this weekend is Thanksgiving. Here's my Thanksgiving blessing for you:

May you count your blessings until you can't count anymore, and may you eat until you're full and then eat some more!

There are several cool things around town this weekend, and if you have out-of-town guests, it would be a good opportunity to explore some of these Fort Worth family fun events.

Here we go....

HEADS UP

Here's a new category for events that are upcoming and for which you need tickets. Obviously I can't/won't include everything that's upcoming here, but occasionally I'll put down events of special interest.

Ballet Concerto will perform a Holiday Special ballet on Friday, December 7 at 7:00 pm at Will Rogers Colliseum. Kids 4 and under are FREE, Ages 5-12 are $10 and Adults are $20.

SHOPPING TIP

And finally, here's a Christmas shopping tip for you. Check out the Mattel outlet on Meacham Blvd, just west of Blue Mound Road. It's in an industrial complex, as Mattel also distributes out of that building, but their outlet store is in the back. I went yesterday and they have some excellent deals, and you get an additional 20% off on Wednesday mornings from 10 am to 12 pm.
